Ilhan Kyuchyuk: Once again, I had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the civil society in Uzbekistan today in the European Parliament. Together with my guests, we agreed that the election of a new President of Uzbekistan could facilitate the new stage of democratic development.
Special thanks to SILC, Swedish International Liberal centre and Åsa Nilsson Söderström for the invitation. I will continue to seek opportunities open the country and the region for freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and association.
