San Marino’s agreement to cooperate with the EU on tax transparency could serve as an example to the world how the fight against tax avoidance and tax evasion should be conducted. There is no doubt that the automatically exchange of information between the EU Member States and San Marino will contribute to the efforts to deter hiding income and assets abroad and will promote fair distribution of the tax burden for all citizens. For the good of the Union and Member States, the EU should sign same type of agreement with all of its partners.
