“This is a great recognition not only for me as a politician and citizen, but also for the parties of the liberal family that I represent and for whom education is the highest value in the modern world. We Europeans need North Macedonia in the EU. All the neighbors of North Macedonia are also interested, including Bulgaria as its neighbor,” said Kyuchyuk in his speech after the ceremony.
He emphasized that North Macedonia has chosen the path of building a multi-ethnic society in which everyone coexists and all international partners appreciate this.
Speaking about the European Union, he pointed out that every country enters it with its history and identity. It will be the same with North Macedonia.
“The EU does not eliminate differences, on the contrary – it gives them the opportunity to develop. And this is the greatest wealth of the Union – its diversity. It turned out that Bulgaria and North Macedonia are far and near. Perhaps this is also the fate of the closest ones, to be distant sometimes. The most common explanation for this is lost trust and not knowing each other,” Kyuchyuk continued.
In his address, he stressed that Europe is a continent of opportunities and young people in North Macedonia should have access to all development programs.
The Prime Minister of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovacevski, President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia Talat Xhaferi, ministers and ambassadors attended the ceremony.
