According to him, the discussion about the future of Europe is among the most important topics
ALDE party co-president Ilhan Kyuchyuk, is at a meeting of the ALDE Council in Rome. The event was held in a hybrid version with delegates from the member parties, members of the party bureau, liberals from all over Europe and the president of “Renew Europe” Stefan Sejourne. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the challenges ahead for the Liberals in 2022. and key topics on the liberal agenda, including the Conference on the Future of Europe.
“The moment I would like to pay attention to is the discussion on the Future of Europe. This is an important conversation for us liberals, because we want to change the European Union for better.”, with this message the co-president of ALDE party Ilhan Kyuchyuk welcomes all liberals.
During the Council meeting, several urgent resolutions were discussed, which focused on key topics such as the crisis on the border between Poland and Belarus, the threat to Ukraine, the diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and related events, protection of EU citizens from illegitimate surveillance, etc.
The Liberals hosted a series of events such as the 3rd meeting related to the Conference on the Future of Europe, in memory of Hans van Baalen. During the event, citizens had the opportunity to share their own ideas and visions for the future of the European Union and the continent.
The DPS delegation took an active part in the meeting – Antoaneta Asenova – president of LYMEC, Birshen Ibryamova – executive director of the “Liberal Integration” foundation and Valentin Tonchev – political advisor to the MRF delegation in the EP.
The next meeting of the Council will take place in Dublin in June 2022.
