The MEP and the School Principal of “Vela Blagoeva” Secondary School Angel Yanchev unanimously support the idea of a common project between the two countries
Ilhan Kyuchyuk received an award for his contribution to the philosophical-historical competition “Macedonia and Bulgaria – the Near Far Away”, which is held under the patronage of the MEP. The new president of the European Liberals, Ilhan Kyuchyuk, is the European Parliament’s permanent rapporteur for the Republic of North Macedonia, and such initiatives are often supported by him, and this award is another recognition of his contribution to the development of the country’s international relations.
“It is extremely important that good examples and practices are shown to the public and receive the necessary support. That is why I will continue to support such initiatives, which will strengthen our good neighborly relations in the future. “, said Kyuchyuk during the award ceremony.
After the awarding, MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk and the School Principal of “Vela Blagoeva” Secondary School Angel Yanchev held a meeting where it became clear that next year students from Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia will be included in the competition. Both believe that the place of the Republic of North Macedonia is in the Union and such common initiatives are a step towards better future relations between the countries. The winners will get the chance to visit the EP in Brussels. The aim of the competition is to develop cohesion and good neighbourly relations in the future.
This year in the competition organized by Secondary School “Vela Blagoeva” in partnership with the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. St. Cyril and Methodius “and under the patronage of Ilhan Kyuchyuk, took a record number of participants from across the country. The winners of the competition will receive a prize and will have the opportunity to visit the European Parliament, thanks to MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk.
