A group from Bulgaria visited the European Parliament at the invitation of Ilhan Kyuchyuk

MEP Ilhan Kyuchuk hosted a group of visitors from Bulgaria in the European Parliament. Among the participants were members and supporters of MRF, as well as students from Kardzhali and Sevlievo, invited in connection with the European Year of Youth – 2022.

During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the activity and organization of work of the European Parliament, as well as with the highlights of Ilhan Kyuchuk’s work in the foreign affairs and legal affairs committees. He introduced the participants to the current political situation in Europe.

“Europe is moving forward and has endured its development over the years. It goes deeper inside, within the framework of 27 countries, but also looks outside – to the Western Balkans and the countries of the Eastern Partnership. Today we face a very important decision whether Albania and North Macedonia should start the negotiation process. Through the eyes of a young person from the Western Balkans, the EU is a prospect, just as for us 15 years ago, EU membership was an extremely important step,” said Kyuchyuk.

Speaking about his activities and duties as a member of the European Parliament, Ilhan Kyuchyuk emphasized that the EU was founded on the basis of competition in a good sense. He emphasized that within Europe, politics is made according to two indicators – fear and hope. Europe has seen the war and the devastation and now it does not want to go to fear, but to hope. To give perspective and opportunities. The EU is a complex machine that you need to know how to put together to make it work effectively.
